Your dog’s DNA results will not automatically transfer from Ancestry to Know Your Pet DNA by BioPet. When the migration becomes available, you’ll be able to create a BioPet account and link your pet’s existing results. We identify the DNA patterns that match the expected patterns for a specific breed type in our extensive reference panel of known pure bred dogs. This lets us tell you all the breed types, and the percentage of that breed.

If your results are still processing with Ancestry, you’ll need to wait until their lab finishes analysis before migrating your pet’s data. BioPet can’t access sample information or upgrade results until processing is complete and your account is migrated to BioPet.
